Client Spotlight: Pet Support

Pet Support is a Windsor based business that provides pet care services, educational support, and fun events for all kinds of animal lovers. Their mission has always been to make pet ownership as easy as possible. Whether it’s because of injury, emergency, or simply a piling workload, Pet Support will be there to ensure your pet is always cared for.

Lauren Edwards started Pet Support after realizing that Windsor was in need of a professional pet care service, and she had the means to provide it. To say Lauren has experience with caring for animals would be an understatement. She currently owns two Pet Valu franchises, and is the president and founder of Moggy Cat Rescue.

Petsupport_LogoWhen designing the logo, we focused on creating something that evoked friendliness. We also need it to be inviting upon first glance. The challenge, however, was that it needed to carry across platforms like digital, signage, print, and employee uniforms. In the end we feel that we created a logo that meets all the requirements as well as the client’s vision for their brand.

The colour selections in the logo were made to complement each other. They also help follow through on the feeling of friendliness and expertise.

Lauren likes to use post card sized handouts to promote Pet Support sales and offers. We’ve created a number of different designs for her to use.  She uses our designs and print to promote services like puppy training, pet photography, and pet play dates. Somewhere around 5000 post cards for Pet Support have come straight from our in house printer.

We’ve also printed some large format material for Pet Support. One of our favourites was a poster sized old west “Wanted” poster. We started by printing the design on an adhesive vinyl. We then attached it to corrugated plastic and cut a hole in the center. The end result was that pet owners could now take a picture of their pet inside the “Wanted” poster.

Pet-support_web_desktop_mockWhen creating the website we designed everything to draw in our target demographic; animal lovers. We used a combination of provided and stock images in order to create an entire website of cute animals. Every banner, page, and image was used to compliment the pet friendly design. We’re especially fond of the image on the “Careers” page.

As with all of our clients, we didn’t sacrifice functionality for aesthetics. The site is easy to navigate, the services are clear, and contacting the business is easier than ever. Users don’t have to search for what they’re looking for. Within 2 or 3 pages they should have all the information they need.

There are plenty of pet owners among our own staff here at Imaginative Group. We’re constantly debating the age old question of whether cats or dogs are the best pet (dogs obviously). We love sharing a passion with our clients, and there is no one more passionate about animals than Lauren and her staff at Pet Support.

“The team at Imaginative Group was an integral part of starting up Pet Support and I will continue to work with them with all my business and personal printing and design projects for years to come.” – Lauren Edwards
